16 killed in a coal mine accident in China

Beijing: Sixteen citizens trapped in a coal mine in south-west China’s Chongqing Municipality on Sun. have been died because of the presence of excessive levels of carbon monoxide, officer media recorded.

The incident happened when the burning belts within the mine caused the carbon monoxide to exceed safety limit, trapping 17 citizens inside, state-owned Xinhua press agency recorded.

A 75-member rescue tandem has entered the mine & 30 medical labour have dashed to the scene, it stated.

1 human who survived the crash has been dashed to the hospital (3), CGTN TV recorded.

The excessive levels of carbon monoxide have been sensed within the mine in about 12:30 am.

The crash took place in the Songzao coal mine in Qijiang dist.. It belongs to a regional energy firm, as per the dist. govt.
