The state’s tally of COVID-19-19 positive instances crossed the 1.58 lakh mark on Sun. with the detection of 8,555 new infections.
As per the Health Dept.’s bulletin, the total complaint tally approached 1,58,764.
Awhile 11 citizens passed away in Krishna dist., 8 passed away in Guntur. East Godavari & Visakhapatnam dists accounted for 7 demises every, & Kurnool & Nellore dists 6 every. 5 citizens passed away in Srikakulam, 4 in Prakasam, 3 every in Kadapa, Vizianagaram & Chittoor & 2 every in Anantapur & East Godavari dists.
Kurnool dist. remained the worst affected with 207 fatalities till now awhile East Godavari stands 2nd with 179 demises & Krishna 3rd with 175 demises.
During this last 24 hours ending nine a.m. on Sun., 6,272 citizens recovered from COVID-19-19, taking the overall no. of recoveries to 82,886. The amount of active instances stands in 74,404.
The state held 52,834 COVID-19 tests during this last 24 hours. This includes 19,155 quick antigen tests. With this the state has till now held 20,65,407 tests.
With 38,678 tests per mln, AP stands 1st within the nation in checking. And also has one such lowest positivity rate amongst states in 7.69 percent.
The state has the 3rd largest no. of positive instances within the nation after Maharashtra(MH) & TN however ranks 6th in terms of no. of fatalities.
