737 Max crashes that killed 346 were ‘horrific culmination’ of failures by Boeing, FAA, says House report

A U.S. Home investigative record into 2 Boeing 737 Max crashes that died 346 citizens blamed the aviation & the FAA for “repeated & severe failures.”

The fatal crashes in Indonesia in Oct 2018 & Ethiopia in Mar 2019 have been “a horrific culmination of a show of faulty technical assumptions by Boeing’s engineers, a lack of transparency on the part of Boeing’s Mgmt, & grossly insufficient oversight by this FAA,” stated the record declared Wed. by this Democratic-controlled Home Committee on Transportation & Infra-structure.

The committee chairman, Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., stated in an announcement that the record, written by Democratic employees, shows “just how Boeing — under stress to compete with Airbus & deliver profits for Wall Street — escaped scrutiny from that FAA, withheld crucial info from pilots, & ultimately put planes into service that died 346 innocent citizens.”

He added further, “What’s particularly infuriating is just how Boeing & FAA both gambled with people safety within the crucial time period between the 2 crashes.”
