Andhra COVID patients shifted to hospital in garbage vehicle

Amaravati: In a shocking incident, 3 COVID-19 sufferers have been reportedly moved to a hospital (3) in a garbage vehicle in AP’s Vizianagaram dist..

A video footage, that shows 3 people boarding the trolley in Nellimarla town, has gone viral on social media(SM), prompting the officials to order a probe.

The incident allegedly took place on Sat. when an ambulance didn’t approach to shift 3 members of a family (4) to the hospital (3).

They’d gone under COVID-19 tests on Wed. & it has been on Fri. that they have been identified positive. Residents cautioned 108 ambulance & appealed that they be moved to hospital (3).

Although, the ambulance didn’t approach the spot, enforcing the locals to prepare a trolley from Nellimarla Nagar Panchayat.

Regional authorities instructed a probe into the incident. Primary Health Center medical official Gayatri Devi stated the ambulance has been sent immediately after learning regarding the sufferers from volunteers however before the vehicle can approach there the regional locals mobilized a trolley from that municipal body.

Nellimarla Nagar Panchayat Commissioner J. R. Appala Naidu stated the vehicle has been being habituated to carry Sodium Hypochlorite & different items for burying the COVID-19 sufferers.

Vizianagaram Dist. Medical & Health Official Dr Ramana Kumari stated she’d instructed a probe into the incident.

Previous chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated he has been appalled over the medication meted out to the sufferers.
