Amaravati, September 16 : AP COVID-19 toll breached the 5,000 mark with 69 extra demises, even though the state has lodged 8,846 new COVID-19 positive instances, rising the state’s tally to 5.83 lakh on Tue..
With the new demises, state’s toll approached 5,041. Chittoor dist. accounted for the largest no. of COVID-19 demises, 543, succeeded by Guntur (469), East Godavari (464), Kurnool (425) & remaining.
Meantime, East Godavari continues to record the largest no. of infections, 1,423, & also the lone dist. to record over 1,000 instances on Tue..
Prasksam dist. accounted for 979 infections, succeeded by West Godavari (955), Nellore (820), Srikakulam (678), Kadapa (661), Guntur (641), Visakhapatnam (574) & Chittoor (572) amongst remaining.
On Tue., Ananthapur dist. tally breached the 50,000 mark to approach 50,088 awhile East Godavari’s tally approached 79,643, the dist. with the largest instances.
Active instances in Prakasam dipped marginally to 13,655, dist. with the largest no. of active instances.
On a positive note, 9,628 extra sufferers recovered from that infection to outnumber infections on Tue., propelling the overall recoveries to approach 4.86 lakh.
Of the 5.83 lakh instances, active instances stand in 92,353.
