AP CM Jagan Upgrades Medical & Health Services with 1,088 New Vehicles

Hyderabad(Hyd): A huge sparkling new fleet of 1,088 ambulances have been witnessed in Vijayawada today as AP CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy ruled to give a big boost to the Health Dept. in times of COVID.

The ambulance service with new vehicles would come to personal life from Thu. Now the spectacular sight of the fleet can be witnessed stationed in the Benz Circle of Vijayawada.

Within the meanwhile, COVID-19 epidemic within the State has lodged 13,891 affirmed instances. Of this 6,232 have recovered awhile 180 sufferers have passed away. On Wed. the state lodged 793 new instances.

It has been only in May that AP had declared a budget of INR 16,200 cr for health-care. Of the overall 1,088 vehicles some of the would be utilized as 104 ambulance service for rural AP & the remaining as 108 for urban regions.

Of the fleet, 412 vehicles to becomes a part of 108 ambulance service.  As far as 104 service is concerned it’s 2 types of solutions to carry out. 2 hundred & eighty-two vehicles utilized for advance personal life help solutions & the rest  as Mobile Medical Units (MMU).  The nature of service for the rest vehicles going to be ruled shortly.

The new ambulances are will have features like ventilators, syringe pumps, infusion pumps, facilities for delivery & oxygen cylinders. To retain transparency, the vehicles would’ve surveillance cameras.

There would also be Mobile Medical Units (MMU) to cater within the remote parts rural regions. The ambulances going to also cover anganwadi educational institutions, govt educational institutions & gen. needy people within the village.

INR 201 cr was utilized for this project.
