AP: Government gears up to open colleges from October 15

Amaravati: AP is gearing as many as re-open colleges from Oct 15. In a review gathering in his own camp workplace, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has framed a list of guidelines & sought views from that authorities of the higher education dept..

COVID-19

Educational institutions, colleges, & different edu institutions remained closed from Mar to include the spread of COVID-19.

During this review gathering on Higher Education; the CM has instructed the authorities to target on rising the Gross Enrolment Ratio to 90 percent. The CM gave green signal for recruitment of Assistant Professors in Universities around the state.

Graduation

Moving forward with the call taken on honors graduation, each student taking up a 3-year graduation (or) four yr. graduation course must enroll in a ten-month apprenticeship. Apart from this,

The CM directed authorities to set up employment & skill development (devt) courses for candidates after completion of their own apprenticeship. Both must pursue conventional graduation courses that contain BA, BCOM, & BSC. The student must decide over choosing a gen. graduation (or) an honors graduation during this time of admission.

On the different hand, B Tech candidates going to receive an honors graduation too. In case the student completes 20 extra credits in four yrs., they’ll receive B Tech honors in that discipline. Alternatively, a student continuing B Tech graduation acquires 20 extra credits in any of the different courses going to receive a minor graduation.

CM’s guideline

The CM directed the authorities that stringent action must be taken on colleges committing malfunctions. YS Jagan has also given the green signal for setting up universities in Vizianagaram & Prakasham dists. The CM gave nod for establishment of a Tribal college in Paderu village, Vizianagaram dist..
