AP reports 813 new cases, corona tally reaches 13,891

Amaravati: In a slight relief, AP saw a small dip in its COVID-19 tally on Mon. in the morning. Compared to the Sun. count of 813 positive instances, the state nodal official recorded that 793 samples tested positive(+ve) throughout tests held within the 24 hours ending Nine a.m., Mon.. The total tally of Coronavirus instances within the state approached 13,891.

Awhile Sun.’s tally is the largest single-day count of COVID-19 instances recorded till now, the recent single-day high of 796 has been recorded a day previously. Mon. also saw a report 30,216 samples tested for the infection. Till now, the state has held tests on 8,72,076 samples.

AP ranks behind Maharashtra(MH) with 9,26,934 tests, & TN, that leads with 11,10,402 tests held till now. On Mon., 302 people have been announced cured & discharged from hospitals. The tally of cured people as of now numbers 6,232 awhile 7,479 people are presently being handled in various hospitals within the state.

The number of deaths on Mon. dipped marginally, with 11 people recorded passed. The state’s number of deaths as of now stands in 180. On Mon., Kurnool recorded the maximum of 5 demises, succeeded by 2 every from Krishna & Nellore dists, & 1 every from Vizianagaram & West Godavari dists.

As within the preceding 24 hours, on Mon. too, 12 of the 13 dists recorded new instances. On Mon., West Godavari recorded the largest tally of 113 instances succeeded by Guntur with 98, & Anantapur with 96 instances. Different dists that recorded high incidence of COVID-19 instances contain Kurnool with 86 instances, & East Godavari with 72 instances. As on Sun., Srikakulam dist. has been the only dist. that didn’t record any new instances during this past 24 hours.

Mon. saw a rise in COVID-19 instances sensed amongst the citizens repatriating from different states. Compared to 50 instances on Sun., up to 81 new instances have been sensed in this category on Mon.

The bulk of 40 positive instances has been sensed amongst the Maharashtra(MH) returnees. Similarly, 21 of the COVID-19 positive samples belonged to the returnees from Telangana (TL), & 15 instances are from TN. Aside from this, 2 instances from Karnataka(KA), & 1 complaint every from Odisha & Delhi(DL) have been also recorded in the last 24 hours.

By Mon., 1,946 people were tested positive(+ve) for COVID-19 amongst the people who repatriated from different states. The active instances tally within the returnees is 798, awhile 1,148 people were cured till now.

On a positive note, only 6 new instances have been recorded from that overseas returnees. Awhile 4 have been sensed amongst the returnees from Kuwait, 1 every from Qatar & Saudi have been also recorded on Mon.

The cumulative tally of COVID-19 sufferers in foreign returnees category has climbed to 391, awhile 97 people were discharged after getting cured.
