The GSM-based (Global System for Mobile Communication) people call workplace (PCO) has been set up so that the citizens could communicate with remaining for any necessity.

Defense spokesperson Lt Col P. Khongsai stated that the remote regions of Mago-Chuna have no communication ability, with nearest telephone connectivity 28 kms far away.

The inaccessibility severely hampered the social personal life & total progress of the region. Availability of this ability has took joy & also opened new avenues of prosperity & chance.

With a public of about 80,000, largely tribals, East Kameng dist. of western AR shares borders with China & Assam(AS).
