Canberra: The Australian govt on Fri. declared a substantial extension of its wage subsidy scheme in reaction to the COVID-19 constraints that are reimposed in Victoria state because of an alarming rise in the amount of instances.
PM Scott Morrison & Treasurer Josh Frydenberg declared the A$15 billion ($10 billion) boost for the JobKeeper wage subsidy scheme, records Xinhua press agency.
The vast most of the funding going to be spent subsidizing the wages of hundreds of large number of Victorians, with eligibility criteria for the scheme to be eased.
It takes the overall cost of the scheme to A$101.three billion.
