Jalpaiguri: A 16-year-old lady has been reportedly gang-raped several times, died & the body dumped in a septic tank of a home in WB’s Jalpaiguri dist., police officer said on Sat..
3 people were detained in connection with the incident, & when produced in the court on Fri., they have been remanded to 8 days of police custody.
The lady, a native of Shyanashikata in Rajganj, went missing on Aug 10, following that her family (4) registered a police case, authorities stated.
Police on Thu. detained 3 people, & throughout interrogation, they admitted to have raped & died the lady on Aug 15, authorities stated, adding that the body has been afterwards dumped within the septic tank.
The body has been taken out from that septic tank of a home in Pradhan Para thereafter that night, police officer said.
Regional TMC MLA Khageswar Roy has met the lady’s family (4) & insisted the demise penalty for the charged.
Police officer said they’re interrogating the issue & yet to ascertain what resulted in the incident.
