West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee joined the protest against the controversial act CAA & NRC immediately after meeting the PM Modi in Kolkata city on Saturday(Jan 11) at Raj Bhawan betwixt continuing protests throughout the Kolkata against the Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA).
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Engaged in a meeting being conducted by Trinamool Chhatra Parishad at Kolkata, against the CAA and NRC (National Register of Citizens).
Mamata Banerjee attended the protest against the CAA and NRC after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kolkata in Raj Bhawan amidst protests Throughout the city contrary to the Citizenship Act that was amended.
Mamata Banerjee was viewed amid a bunch in Kolkata having a Massive banner “No NRC, No CAA” from the background.
In the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Raj Bhawan.
Giving details of her meeting with Narendra Modi, Mamata Banerjee stated that she informed PM Modi the West Bengal was contrary to the CAA and NRC, and the two ought to be re-evaluated and”finally” withdrawn.
Mamata Banerjee stated, “He [Modi] is my own guest, so that I do not know if it was appropriate of me to increase this, but I have clearly said that we, the people of Bengal, condemn CAA, NPR and NRC.
We wouldn’t like to ship them and do not need any competition between any two people of the nation. The authorities must re-consider CAA and NRC. Men and Women in Bengal aren’t accepting NRC and CAA.”
Mamata Banerjee added she met with the prime minister seeing some needs.
