Wakf Board: Congress, Wakf Board chief Saleem is praising KCR to get MLC seat

Hyderabad(Hyd):Hyderabad(Hyd) City Congress Committee (HCCC) Minorities Dept. Chairman Sameer Waliullah on Sat. slammed Wakf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem for showering praise on CM K Chandrashekhar Rao for issuing GO Ms No 15 that assures protection of Wakf properties.

There is nothing new in GO Ms No 15 as the sale (or) transfer of Wakf properties is already banned according to the Central Wakf Act,” he stated awhile pointing out that the Segment 104-A of Central Wakf Act, 1995 states.

Prohibition of sale, gift, exchange, mortgage (or) transfer of Waqf property. Notwithstanding anything contained in this act (or) any different law of the time being in enforce (or) any Waqf deed, no human shall sell, gift, exchange, mortgage (or) transfer any movable (or) immovable property that is a Waqf property to any different human.

In an announcement here on Sat., Sameer Waliullah stated that the latest GO has been nothing however an trying by KCR to divert citizens’s attention from that demolition of 2 mosques within the State Secretariat.

He stated both the mosques within the Secretariat have been Wakf properties & the State Govt has illegally encroached upon them.
