Hyderabad(Hyd): Taking its agitation over the demolition of 2 mosques & a temple within the Secretariat to the higher level, the Congress chiefs staged a symbolic dharna before the workplace of Telangana (TL) State Wakf Board in Haj Home, Nampally on Thu. & thereafter registered a police case over Wakf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem & different members of the Board.
Commanded by Telangana (TL) Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Minorities Dept. Chairman Sk Abdullah Sohail, Sr. chiefs involving Hyderabad(Hyd) City Congress President M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, TPCC Spokesman Syed Nizamuddin, Hyderabad(Hyd) Minorities Department Chairman Sameer Waliullah, Nampally In-charge Feroz Khan & remaining staged a symbolic dharna in the Haj Home. They have been holding placards with slogans condemning the demolition of Secretariat mosques & inaction by this Wakf Board. They also rised slogans over TRS Govt & CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao holding them accountable for the demolition.
Thereafter, they registered a case in the Abids Police Station seeking action over Wakf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem & Board Members Syed Akber Nizamuddin Hussain, Malik Motasim Khan, Dr. Syed Nisar Hussain, Adv Waheed Ahmed & remaining. “The Secretariat mosques are notified within the Gazette of AP on 01-07-1982, in Sl. No.158. Thus the custodian of the mosques is the Telangana (TL) State Wakf Board represented by its chairman Mohammed Saleem. Thus, the Wakf Board Chairman & different members are collectively accountable for the demolitions. By doing so, they indulged in making improbability, offender carelessness, offender conspiracy, hurting religious emotions, inciting communal hatred & violence over the Muslim society,” Abdullah Sohail stated within the case registered with the police.
Talking to media people thereafter, Abdullah Sohail stated that Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar & Wakf Board Chairman Saleem must be the prime charged within the complaint as both colluded to demolish the 2 mosques within the Secretariat Dafatir-e-Mohammedi adjacent to C Stop & Masjid-e-Hashmi, situated near by D Stop. He stated that both the mosques have been constructed during this Nizam’s Era. Awhile the Chief Secretary is accountable for not following the due process in demolition of Secretariat, the Wakf Board Chairman & its members failed to protect the mosques in violation of the Central Waqf Act. The mosques, that are within the care & custody of Telangana (TL) Waqf Board, have been intentionally demolished by this Chief Secretary & encroached upon the land of the Masaajid with an ambition to reconstruct the Secretariat Apartment,” he claimed.
“Neither the State Govt nor the Waqf Board has given any explanation to the gen. people of sudden demolition of Masaajid. “The Waqf Board till now has neither instituted any trials before the Waqf Tribunal (or) challenging the illegitimate authority of the govt without initiating any lawful trials for obtaining the land of the demolished Masaajid, although the acts of the govt is arbitrator illegal & performed in collusion with Telangana (TL) State Wakf Board & its chairman,” he stated within the case registered with the police. “They’re not coming forward with any suitable explanations to fulfil the Muslim society. The attitude & silence of the board & its members discloses a plenty of untold stories of their own cannibalisms,” he stated.
Abdullah Sohail also pointed out that the demolition of mosques & a temple within the Secretariat has been a violation of Places of Worship Act. He also pointed out that the CM released an announcement on 10-07-2020 affirming the demolition of places of worship. The CM gave an assurance on their own reconstruction, however didn’t specify the place where the 2 mosques & a temple would be re-constructed. “Awhile the demolition of mosques & temple has been illegal, it’ll be the other offence to shift their own places,” he stated.
“By carrying out demolition of mosques & a temple, KCR attempted to create disruption & unrest within the minority society. The acts of the Waqf Board Chairman & different members are offender in nature as they failed to protect the sanctity of mosques, its infra-structure & movables i.e., prayers rugs, Arabic literature & Holy Quran that are in a plenty of numbers. Their own acts also money to deceiving the Muslim Society, making unrest & nuisance within the society, hurting the religious emotions dividing the community & damaging the status of State Waqf Board & confidence of the Muslim Society,” he stated.
Thus, the Congress leader pushed the police to register instances over the Wakf Board Chairman & different members & take (2) up inquiry.
