Muzaffarnagar: A 65-year-old mentally challenged person drowned in a pond here on Fri., police officer said.
Surajmal (65) is stated to have passed away by suicide after leaping into the pond in Nawla village under Mansurpur PS (police station) limits within the dist., they stated.
His own body has been fished out of the pond & sent for a postmortem, the police furthermore stated.
