Hyderabad(Hyd): A main fire erupted in a polymer unit in Bonthapally Industrial region of neighboring Sangareddy dist. on Sat. night, Fire Dept. authorities stated.
No casualty has been recorded within the incident.
According to the available info, it’s suspected that the fire initiated in godown of the unit & the drums including solvents initiated exploding 1 after the other & the fire spread quickly, they stated.
7 fire tenders, involving 2 from that Dundigal Airforce Academy, have been pressed into service to extinguish the flames, a Fire Dept. officer informed PTI, adding the blaze was took under curb.
Thick black smoke emanated from that region, he stated.
“The intensity of the fire was lowered… there is no person loss (or) wound to anybody. No 1 has been there within the unit at the moment of the incident,” the officer said.
The shed collapsed after the drums erupted, the officer added further.
On Aug 21, a main fire erupted within the Srisailam hydroelectric power plant located on the Telangana (TL) side of the border with AP leaving 9 citizens passed, majority of them engineers, & 3 seriously wounded.
