Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch on Wed. detained the dismissed Inspector in-charge of Biramitrapur PS (police station) in Sundargarh dist. for his own claimed involvement within the gang rape of a minor lady & obliged termination of her pregnancy.
Anand Chandra Majhi has been detained from Handapa region of Angul dist..
“… he’ll be introduced before judicial court. Well finished Offence Branch of Odisha Police,” tweeted DGP Abhay.
Majhi with 4 remaining have been charged of gang-raping the 13-year-old sufferer. A complaint has been also lodged over a govt doctor for aborting her pregnancy.
The DGP had dismissed Majhi on Wed. “The DGP has dismissed Inspector Ananda Chandra Majhi from duty. His own carry out has been shameful. Our apologies to the young lady,” stated the Twitter post of Odisha DGP.
