Global Covid-19 cases nearing 33mn: Johns Hopkins

Washington(WA), September 28 : The total no. of global COVID-19 instances has been nearing the 33 mln mark, awhile the demises have rised to over 996,000, as per the Johns Hopkins University.

As of Mon. in the morning, the overall no. of instances stood in 32,977,556 & the fatalities rose to 996,674, the University’s Centre for Systems Science & Engineering(engr.) (CSSE) disclosed in its latest update.

The US is the worst-hit nation with the globe’s largest no. of instances & demises in 7,113,666 & 204,750, respectively, as per the CSSE.

India(In) comes within the 2nd place in terms of instances in 5,992,532, awhile the nation’s number of deaths soared to 94,503.

The different top 15 nations with the maximum number of instances are Brazil (4,717,991), Russia (1,146,273, Colombia (813,056), Peru (800,142), Mexico (730,317, Spain (716,481), Argentina (711,325), South Africa (670,766), France (552,473), Chile (457,901), Iran (446,448), the UK (437,516), Bangladesh (359,148), Iraq (349,450) & Saudi (333,193), the CSSE figures demonstrated.

Brazil presently accounts for the 2nd largest no. of fatalities in 141,741.
