Washington(WA), September 22 : The total no. of global COVID-19 instances has topped 31.two mln, awhile the demises have rised to over 963,000, as per the Johns Hopkins University.
As of Tue., overall no. of instances stood in 31,201,975 & the fatalities rose to 963,068, the University’s Centre for Systems Science & Engineering(engr.) (CSSE) disclosed in its latest update.
The US is the worst-hit nation with the globe’s largest no. of instances & demises in 6,833,931 & 199,815, respectively, as per the CSSE.
India(In) comes within the 2nd place in terms of instances in 5,487,580, awhile the nation’s number of deaths soared to 87,882.
The different top 15 nations with the maximum number of instances are Brazil (4,544,629), Russia (1,105,048), Peru (768,895), Colombia (765,076), Mexico (700,580), Spain (671,468), South Africa (661,936), Argentina (640,147), France (496,851), Chile (447,468), Iran (425,481), the UK (401,122), Bangladesh (350,621), Saudi (330,246) & Iraq (322,856), the CSSE figures demonstrated.
Brazil presently accounts for the 2nd largest no. of fatalities in 136,895.
