GMRVF Hyd introduces online ‘skill building’ courses for youth

Hyderabad(Hyd): Awhile the COVID-19 epidemic has resulted in the shutdown of educational institutions & training centres around the country, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) arm of GMR Crowd has presented an innovative on-line resolution to train teenager those have dropped out of educational institution (or) college to enhance their own employability skillsets during this lock-down.

GMRVCEL (GMR Varalakshmi Center for Empowerment & Livelihoods–Hyderabad(Hyd)) in Shamshabad is a Skill Development (devt) Center supported within the CSR of GMR Hyderabad(Hyd) Intl.

Air port Limited Intl. Air port, that was providing multiple skill-based training facilities to unemployed teenager from around the state from 2008. Although, because of the compulsive shut-down of the training centre amid the epidemic, teenager who have been dependent upon the skill-based training courses imparted by GMRVF have been adversely effected.

For the benefit of the teenager, GMRVF presented customized on-line training lessons, that can be entered by these students from that safety of their own houses. GMRVF has adapted all available courses (except driving) into the ‘Blended Learning Technique.’

This reach combines on-line educational literature & opportunities for virtual interaction with physical training (to be held once the centre opens according to govt instructions). The course is also beneficial as it offers candidates some of the aspects of curb over their own time, place, path, (or) pace.

The employability of the teenager during this lock-down going to be improved via the following: 1) Blended Learning Technique to offer extra curb to the students to learn in their own pace, 2) Practical lessons in the training centre.

For this training module, the students who’re selected are being given on-line training lessons in their own respective line of subjects. They’re taught the selected job character’s content, soft skills, spoken English & also assessed using on-line assessments throughout these sessions.

Once the center activities reopen according to the govt instructions, the practical sessions going to be imparted to these students. Using this mode of on-line teaching methodology, the candidates aren’t in a loss in any way & stand to benefit with the education that they gain.

The courses under blended learning techniques contain – Drywall & False Ceiling Technician, Excavator Operator, Welding Technician, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, Automobiles & 2-wheeler repairing, Solar Technician, Electrical Home Wiring, Restaurant Mgmt (Fandamp;B), Computers – MS Workplace & DTP (Only for Ladies), & Tailoring. All educational institutions & college dropout teenagers are eligible to join these courses.
