Google removed PayTM from Play Store; blog cites policy on gambling

Google took down the Paytm application from that Play store awhile different apps like Paytm for Business, Paytm mall, Paytm Amount, & some extra are still available for download. Paytm declined to comment & stated the firm going to problem an announcement after interrogating the issue. The application is available for download on the Apple Application store.

Google hasn’t specifically disclosed the reason behind taking down the application saved by millions of consumers in India(In) however in a blog published today the tech giant cites policy on gambling.

Within the blog, Google said, “We don’t permit on-line casinos (or) help any unregulated gambling apps that enable sports betting. This includes in case an application leads users to an external site that allows them to attend in made payment tournaments to win real amount (or) money prizes, it’s a violation of our policies.”

“We’ve these policies to protect consumers from potential harm. When an application violates these policies, we inform the developer of the violation & delete the application from Google Play till the developer brings the application into compliance.

Within the complaint where there have been repeated policy violations, we may take (2) extra severe action that may contain terminating Google Play Developer accounts. Our policies are applied & imposed on all developers steadily,” Google furthermore added further to the blog.
