Hyderabad(Hyd): A Hyderabad(Hyd)-based NGO is offering on-line lessons to underprivileged kids & candidates of govt educational institutions for free within the wake of COVID-19 epidemic.
Yashoda Foundation
The NGO ‘Yashoda Foundation’ has initiated a digital education project called Disha for those who could not afford to pursue education, specially during this lock-down.
Navin Kumar Barpathi of Yashoda Foundation informed ANI, “Before epidemic, we organised society learning centers in slums. As of now the want of the hour is to keep the education going despite of the current status.
Our creator Santosh Kumar Kaveti has come up with the project ‘Disha’, a digital education programme. We ruled to have a secured application for teaching lessons & we got (1) in contact with Microsoft groups.”
“It has been tough to carry out these lessons. We faced a plenty of problems training the teachers with this new teaching procedure & creating the kids familiar with the same,” Barpathi stated.
He added further that the platform is open for all this underprivileged kids who’re willing to participate the on-line lessons.
Teacher’s views
Talloju Bhargavi, a teacher associated with the foundation stated, “I’m functioning for this NGO for the last 4 mos. I teach mathematics to the candidates who’re studying in govt educational institutions & who could not afford private tuition.”
“Because of this epidemic, candidates are pursuing their own studies in house. It’s actually great to watch that some candidates from that orphanage are also participating these on-line lessons,” Bhargavi stated.
Student’s views
A student, Urmila who’s participating these lessons stated, “I’m studying in Class 10 in Govt High Educational institution Addagutta. Awhile each private educational institution is implementing on-line lessons however we didn’t have this ability during this lock-down.”
“As we really know each 2nd is important for a 10th class student. In the starting of the Lock-down, we have been worry regarding our examinations however as shortly as the Yashoda Foundation had come up with the facilities of offering us on-line lessons, I has been relieved.
