New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Fri. stated that Kanpur encounter that resulted within the killing of 8 police personnel is the other evidence of ‘gundaraj’ within the state & added further that just how going to people remain safe when the police themselves aren’t safe.
“This is the other evidence of gundaraj in UP. When the police aren’t safe, just how going to the people be? My heartfelt condolences are with the families of the slain martyrs & I wish the wounded a speedy recovery,” he tweeted (translated from Hindi). He also published a record from an information site on the Kanpur encounter.
Previously, Congress Gen. Secretary in charge of WP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also made payment condolences to the families of the police personnel & said that the law & order status within the State has deteriorated & insisted stringent action from CM Yogi Adityanath.
The 8 policemen who lost their own lives within the encounter are – CO Devendra Kumar Mishra, SO Mahesh Yadav, Chowki In-charge Anup Kumar, Sub-Inspector Nebulal, Constables Sultan Singh, Rahul, Jitendra & Bablu.
