Lightning kills 6 people in Odisha

Bhubaneswar; At the least 6 citizens, involving a 12-year-old lady, have been died & 2 remaining wounded after being struck by lightning in various places in Odisha on Tue., police officer said.

Awhile 4 people have been died in separate lightning incidents in Keonjhar dist., 2 remaining passed away & as numerous got wounds in similar mishaps throughout rain & thunderstorm in Balasore dist., they stated.

The minor lady passed away as lightning struck when she has been playing ahead of her home in Pandua village within the jurisdiction of Ramachandrapur PS (police station) in Keonjhar dist., police officer said.

In close by Sapuasahi village, a 55-year-old farmer has been died after being hit by lightning when he has been functioning within the farmland, they stated.

In similar incidents, 2 different farmers passed away after being struck by lightning when they have been functioning within the paddy ground in Inchol & Baharipur village under Nandipada PS (police station) limits.

In Balasore dist., a 28-year-old person has been died & 2 remaining have been wounded in Gobaghata village under Jaleswar PS (police station) region. All of them have been functioning within the paddy ground when lightning struck, police officer said.

In the other lightning incident within the dist., a 59- year-old lady has been died in Kaubani village within the jurisdiction of Bhograi PS (police station) limits when she has been walking down a village road, they stated.
