Maha agrees purchase of vehicle for minister, BJP questions

Mumbai (Bombay): The Maharashtra(MH) govt has sanctioned INR 22.83 lakh for the buy of an officer vehicle for state minister Varsha Gaikwad, drawing flak from that opposition BJP, that questioned the Shiv Sena-led dispensation over its priorities amidst the COVID-19 epidemic.

A Govt Solution (GR) released on Jul three stated CM Uddhav Thackeray & the vehicle review committee of the state finance dept. sanctioned the proposal to buy a seven-seater multi-utility vehicle for Gaikwad, who’s the Education Minister, as a special complaint.

The overall number of INR 22,83,086 for the vehicle includes the vehicle cost, GST, registration charges & accessories, it stated.

Leader of Opposition within the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, although, questioned the govt’s move .

“Just how could buying vehicles for ministers be the priority of the govt within the present scenario?” he inquired.
