Thane: A man aged-40 was detained for reportedly killing his own stepson in Maharashtra(MH)’s Thane dist., a police officer said on Mon.
The 23-year-old sufferer’s mom is the 2nd spouse of the charged, Vijay Chavan, a labourer from Ulhasnagar township here, they stated.
The sufferer has been the son of Chavan’s 2nd spouse from a recent relationship.
Chavan suspected that his own stepson has been in an illicit relationship with his own 2nd spouse & has been upset over it, a police spokesman stated.
He reportedly hit his own stepson with an iron angle on his own head in their own house in Ulhasnagar on Jun 25, the officer said, adding that the sufferer got serious wounds & passed away on the location.
The sufferer’s brother thereafter registered a police case.
The charged has been detained late Sun. night & a complaint has been lodged over him under Indian Penal Code Segment 302 (killing), the police officer said.
