Singrauli: In a suspected complaint of person sacrifice, a 50-year-old person reportedly beheaded his own spouse to please a deity & buried the body in his own home in MP’s Singrauli dist., police officer said on Thu..
The incident occurred on Wed. in Basauda village, located regarding 25 km from that dist. HQ (headquarters).
The charged has been detained on Thu. after his own 2 sons cautioned the police, dist. Extra Supervisor of Police Pradeep Shende stated.
The person reportedly beheaded his own 45-year-old spouse within the early hours of Wed.. He afterwards buried the head & torso separately within the puja room of their own home & thereafter fled, the officer said.
As per his own kids, the charged died his own spouse to please some of the deity. He also died a goat some of the days back & buried the carcass within the puja room to appease the deity, the officer said.
After being cautioned, the police formed groups & captured the charged on Thu., he stated.
“I’m myself investigating the charged to gain to the bottom of the complaint. As per the affirmations of his own 2 sons, it appears the person died his own spouse out of superstition,” Shende added further.
