The charged, detected as Madhu Gadhe, named the boy to her house in a chawl in Santoshi Mata Nagar in suburban Andheri late Mon. night & reportedly strangulated him with a pair of leggings, a police officer said.
She afterwards dumped him head down in a water-filled bucket in her bathroom, a police officer said.
Within the meanwhile, when the boy’s mom couldn’t locate him, she checked the homes of all neighbors, however Gadhe didn’t permit her to enter her place, he stated.
Thereafter, the boy’s mom & different neighbors somehow managed to enter Gadhe’s home & identified the child’s body in her bathroom, the officer added further.
Gadhe has been detained on Tue. & a complaint has been lodged over her under Indian Penal Code Segment 302 (killing), Sahar PS (police station)’s Sr. inspector Shashikant Mane stated.
The charged & the sufferer’s family (4) stayed within the same area & they frequently habituated to fight over petty problems, he stated.
