Bhubaneswar: The Odisha branch of the Congress going to phase demonstrations around the state on Mon. & Tue. to dissent the “unprecedented” rise in costs of petrol & diesel, a Sr. party leader stated.
Legislator Suresh Kumar Routray stated party labour going to phase demonstrations ahead of central govt offices in Bhubaneswar during this day to dissent the raise in fuel costs.
“We insist a quick rollback of the hike in costs of petrol & diesel,” he stated.
Party labour going to phase similar demonstrations in all dist. & stop HQ (headquarters) on Tue., the Congress leader stated.
The statewide demo program is aimed in highlighting the plight of the citizens due to the spiralling fuel costs & also to counter the BJP’s policies & programs that have adversely affected the masses, he stated.
“Even although the crude oil cost has reached a report low, there was a uninterrupted rise within the costs of petrol & diesel within the nation, putting an enormous load on the common citizens,” the other Sr. Congress leader stated.
The central govt must take (2) immediate steps to bring down the fuel costs, he added further.
