Over ‘insensitive’ comments Bajrang dal demands minister’s suspension

Hyderabad(Hyd): The Bajrang Dal on Wed. dissented ahead of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s home in Hyderabad(Hyd), insisting the suspension of Civil Supplies & User Affairs Minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) for his own “insensitive” comments on vandalism in Hindu temples.

Seeking apologies from that chief minister & Nani, a Bajrang Dal leader stated they’d dissent across India(In) in case actions weren’t taken over those engaged in temple vandalism in AP, happening from past month.

“We insist suspension of Kodali Nani for his own insensitive announcement about desecration of Hanumanji’s idol. He along with Reddy should apologise,” the Bajrang Dal leader stated, insisting immediate action over the ones engaged in vandalism in Hindu temples in AP.

Previously awhile talking to a regional channel, Nani — when inquired to comment on the problem of desecration of a Hanuman idol — had downplayed the issue as 1 involving a “mere idol”. “What in case the hand of an idol is broken? It’s merely an idol,” he’d stated.

On a previous theft in Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada, he’d stated: “Why so much fuss over the theft of silver lions from that temple chariot? They’re hardly value INR 6-Seven lakh.”

Apart from, Nani had questioned a declaration by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. “Why such regulations are there only for the Lord Balaji temple? When there have been no such regulations for churches (or) mosques, why there have been regulations for Hindu temples?”

The state was witnessing a spate of vandalism & thefts in Hindu temples & related rallies from past month.

“We need the govt to block atrocities on Hindus, Hindu temples & cows in AP,” stated the Bajrang Dal leader.
