Pakistani army appoints first female lieutenant general

Islamabad:  The Pakistani troops has appointed the 1st female lieutenant gen. within the nation’s biography, an announcement by this troops’s media wing stated.

Associated with the troops’s medical corps, Main Gen. Nigar Johar has been fostered as the lieutenant gen., the announcement by this Inter-Solutions People Relations stated on Tue., adding that after becoming the lieutenant gen., Johar was appointed as the 1st female Surgeon Gen. of the Pakistani troops, Xinhua press agency recorded.

Johar hails from remote region Panjpir of Swabi dist. of the nation’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area & is presently serving as Commandant Military Hospital (3) Rawalpindi.

She has been fostered as a main gen. in 2017, becoming the 3rd lady within the nation’s biography to gain the rank.
