Stevie Nicks Pays Tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg: ‘She Was a Political Rock Star’

Stevie Nicks penned a tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg hours after the demise of the Supreme Court Justice & feminist icon in the age of 87. “She has been a political rock star,” the singer wrote on social media(SM).

“She has been my hero. She fought for me, & all ladies. I feel today quite much like I felt on the night my own mom passed away. I feel like someone punched me within the stomach. My tears haven’t suspended from a friend tip toed into my room & stated ‘Stevie, Ruth passed away.’ (No want for the past name…),” Nicks wrote.

“I so believed that she’d live for some extra yrs.. I wanted to meet her. I wanted to hold her hand & give her a massive hug & appreciate her for everyone she’d finished for ladies, & for everyone she’d continue to accomplish.”

Nicks expressed regret that – awhile she always wanted to – she never had the chance to meet the beloved RBG. “As with all legends, you think they’ll live forever, so you’ll gain there in time. I didn’t gain to meet her. I didn’t gain to stand in her grace.”
