Telugu states celebrate Raksha Bandhan amid Covid-19

Hyderabad(Hyd): The Raksha Bandhan has been celebrated in both the Telugu states of Telangana (TL) & AP on Mon. amidst the COVID-19-19 epidemic.

Citizens have been witnessed taking precautions awhile celebrating the festival, that signifies the bond between sisters & brothers.

Highlighting the importance of COVID-19 precautions, Telangana (TL) Congress MLA Danasari Anasuya gifted a mask & sanitiser to party MP A. Revanth Reddy after tying rakhi on his own hand.

“Happy Rakshna Bandha to my brother MP Revanth Reddy. Gifted him a mask & sanitiser with rakhi,” she tweeted.

CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter & previous Telangana (TL) Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP K. Kavitha tied a traditional rakhi on brother & Cabinet Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s hand.

The siblings have been witnessed wearing face masks during this celebration in Pragati Bhavan, the CM’s officer home.

Kavitha applied ’tilak’ on the foreheads of his own brother & sister-in-law & after tying rakhi reached his own brother’s ft. He gave his own blessings.

“The sibling bond is the most beautiful of all. Wishing you all a quite happy Raksha Bandhan,” Kavitha tweeted.

Union Minister of State for House G. Kishan Reddy toured his own 2 sisters in Hyderabad(Hyd) on the occasion. “This festival imparts each brother & sister countless memories to cherish forever,” he stated.

Telangana (TL) Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan greeted citizens on the occasion. “It (Raksha Bandhan) symbolizes the nice Indian tradition of the eternal bond between brothers & sisters.

I wish the thread of love going to bind the hearts & lives of all brothers & sisters & make their own immortal bond of togetherness stricter.

All this brothers shall shower their own sisters with lots of affection, care & protection on this auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan,” she stated in her sms.

She named for celebrating Raksha Bandhan within the true spirit of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ mission.

“Celebrate the festival in secure and safe environments by residing in house. Let’s all take (2) a vow on this auspicious occasion to follow the precautionary instructions to defeat COVID-19-19,” the Governor stated.
