Mr Mishra, famous for his communal and incendiary tweets, had led a rally on Sunday in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in northeast Delhi’s Maujpur region, near Jaffrabad, in which a demonstration was around because of Saturday night against law. Opposition leaders and a section of networking users have criticised the BJP leader over his remarks.
His party colleague, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir, struck out at Mr Mishra on Tuesday, stating rigorous action has to be taken against those responsible for these provocative statements, no matter the allegiance.
“That is unfortunate. Whoever has done this action has to be taken – if BJP, Congress or AAP. The address of kapil Mishra isn’t acceptable. This really is roughly Delhi not about any political party,” Mr Gambhir said because he visited a hospital in which wounded policemen have been treated.

In a succession of tweets on Tuesday, Mr Mishra said that he had been mistreated and “death threats” were issued against him. In addition, he claimed he hadn’t committed a crime.

Kapil Mishra, who unsuccessfully contested this month’s Delhi election, was convicted for his hatred speeches because protests broke out from the CAA over two weeks past, including yelling slogans “take at the traitors”.
