Keonjhar: 3 people have been detained with over 19 kg elephant tusks here in Keonjhar on Mon., a forest officer said.
After getting info regarding the trading of elephant tusks y’day, the forest formed 5 groups to inquire the issue.
“We attempted to catch the charged people in a Dhaba in Harichandanpur in Keonjhar however they escaped from that location,” Ajit Kumar Satpathy, Division Forest Official, Keonjhar, Andapur Wildlife Division informed ANI.
“We followed them & captured the trio in a village & captured a car & 19.six kg elephant tusks from their own ownership,” he added further.
