TS BIE reduces intermediate syllabus by 30 percent

Hyderabad(Hyd): Telangana (TL) State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) has lowered the syllabus of inter courses by 30 per cent for the academic yr. 2024-21. This call has been taken because of loss of functioning days amidst COVID-19 epidemic.

Shifts in intermediate syllabus

As per a Sr. officer, in science streams, some topics & classes were eliminated according to the shifts made by CBSE.

On the basis of the suggestion made by this expert committee constituted by this board, the syllabus of humanities & different courses were lowered.

Functioning days

According to the calendar released by BIE, there have been 182 functioning days within the academic yr. 2024-21 where as, previous year, the amount of functioning days has been 222.

The board has lowered the syllabus for the current academic yr. because of less no. of functioning days in 2024-21.

On-line lessons

Currently, the lessons for intermediate education are being held on-line on Doordarshan & T-SAT network channels.

The intermediate examinations are planned to be conducted from 24th Mar to 12th Apr where as, the sophisticated supplementary examination is likely to be conducted within the last week of May.
