U’khand govt orders action against private labs giving wrong reports

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand(UK) govt on Sat. instructed stern action over Dehradun private labs in granting unfair COVID-19 test records.

Chief Secretary Om Prakash inquired Dehradun Dist. Magistrate Ashish Kumar Shrivastava to take (2) strict action over such labs.

The chief secretary’s order had come following cases that some of the citizens who tested positive(+ve) for COVID-19 in private labs tested negative in govt hospitals, an officer said.

There have been also cases that 50 per cent of citizens going to private labs in Dehradun are testing positive(+ve) for the infection, he stated.

The chief secretary who reviewed the COVID-19 status within the state using video footage conferencing & directed authorities to make sure that citizens in house quarantine don’t violate COVID instructions.

He inquired all DMs to make sure facilities like sufficient manpower, oxygen berths, ICUs, & ventilators in hospitals as the amount of citizens coming to the state is likely to go up with the begin of the festival season next mo.
