US issues advisory on travel to India, China amid COVID-19

Washington(WA): The United States has released a new travel advisory for its residents checking foreign nations, involving India(In) & China, amidst the COVID-19 epidemic.

Level-Four category

India(In) was positioned under Level-Four category (Don’t travel) — the largest within the advisory — awhile China, the epicentre of COVID-19, is also designated within the same category in see of the COVID-19 constraints.

“Travellers to India(In) may experience border closures, air port closures, travel prohibitions, stay in house orders, business closures & different urgency circumstances in India(In) because of COVID-19,” the State Dept. stated in its advisory.

“With health & safety circumstances enhancing in some of the nations & potentially deteriorating in remaining, the Dept. is repatriating to our recent system of country-specific levels of travel advice (with Levels from 1-Four depending on country-specific circumstances), in order to give travellers elaborated & actionable info to make reported travel decisions,” it said.

Unpredictable nature of epidemic

Meantime, US residents were blocked to enter the European Union & the UK requires travellers from that US to isolation upon entry to the UK.
